Enjoy pt. 2

Another common use:

I rarely watch dramas but I really enjoyed "The Notebook."

Be careful... this sentence is not natural English.

"I enjoyed skiing on my vacation."

BETTER

"I went skiing on my vacation. It was fun!"

*We can say "I enjoy playing tennis."

- This means I like playing tennis. This is fun for me.

Enjoy something

Here is a natural way that you might hear a native speaker use enjoy:

~ "We really enjoyed our time in New York."

~ "Thanks for a great evening. I really enjoyed it."

We always enjoy something

This sounds strange:

A: "How was the party?"

B: "I enjoyed." X

This is better:

A: "How was the party?"

B: "It was fun, I enjoyed it."
